"The Highest Peak"
Oil on Canvas
40" x 60"
Sold
I wanted to show the power of the magnificent grizzly, painted very large; posed overlooking his land, (symbolically as well).
Bit of history behind this piece: (I told Elmo we would go for a walk after I painted the edges of this painting, he raced down the hall upon hearing the word "walk", knocked the finished painting, one of my largest works, and it flew into the air off the easel onto the edge of the kitchen chair ripping a gash into the painting. I patched it with canvas on the back and epoxy and reworked the area. It sold right away, even though the patron was well aware of the tear, much to my joy, it found a great home up in their home in the mountains.)
