This was a painting commission of Mikey a beautiful golden retriever. I met Mikey when I went over to take photos of him for his portrait and my heart melted. He and Carol had such a beautiful relationship. I tried to convey his personality in this piece as I worked on it, I remembered his little mannerisms and expressions, and his absolute passion for the lime tennis ball. It was pure joy to paint this, and an honor that they entrusted me with such an important work.
